1. Acceptance of the terms
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the document-to-Markdown conversion services offered by DocumenTo.MD, a brand of Solutions2AZ SL.
By registering or using the service, the user fully accepts these terms. If they do not agree, they must not use the service.
2. Definitions
- Service: the document conversion platform accessible at documento.md, both via the web and the REST API.
- User: any natural or legal person who registers and/or uses the service.
- Content: the documents processed and the resulting Markdown generated.
- API Key: unique credential that identifies the user in the REST API.
3. Accounts and registration
To use the REST API, registration and creation of an account are required. The user must provide truthful information and keep it up to date.
The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials (password and API Keys). Any activity carried out with their credentials is deemed to have been carried out by the user.
4. Anonymous conversion without registration
The website offers a limited number of conversions without registration, based on the visitor's IP address. DocumenTo.MD reserves the right to modify or withdraw this functionality at any time.
5. Permitted and prohibited use
The user MAY:
- Convert documents for which they hold legitimate rights.
- Use the resulting Markdown for their own purposes (including commercial use).
- Integrate the API into their applications within the limits of their plan.
The user MAY NOT:
- Use the service to process material that infringes the rights of third parties.
- Attempt to overload, hack or compromise the service's infrastructure.
- Share, sell or resell access to the service as if it were their own.
- Use the service for unlawful activities or activities that violate current legislation.
6. Plans, limits and billing
The service offers different plans with usage limits (daily conversions, file size, rate limiting). The limits are published on the pricing page and may be modified.
Paid plans are billed monthly. The user may cancel their subscription at any time from the dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, with no pro-rata refunds unless required by law.
7. User data and content
Original files processed are deleted after conversion. Markdown results have a configurable retention period and may be deleted by the user at any time.
The user retains all rights over the content they process. Solutions2AZ SL makes no claim of ownership over the user's content.
8. Data retention
Usage data (aggregated metrics, technical logs) is retained for the legally required periods. Please consult the Privacy Policy for further detail.
9. Suspension and termination
Solutions2AZ SL may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with prior notice where reasonably possible. The user may delete their account at any time by contacting support.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Solutions2AZ SL does not guarantee that the conversion will always be correct, complete or timely. In no event shall Solutions2AZ SL be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.
11. Ownership of the service
The software, brand, domain and infrastructure of the service are owned by Solutions2AZ SL. The granting of an account does not imply any licence over the service beyond the right of use under these terms.
12. Modifications to the terms
Solutions2AZ SL may modify these terms. Changes will be published on this page and, for material changes affecting paid plans, will be notified by email with reasonable advance notice.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes shall be resolved before the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid, unless consumer protection regulations provide otherwise.
